Senior BI Analyst
Senior BI Analyst | Based in Athens
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Velti’s Business Intelligence team in Athens.
You will be able to apply your expertise in quantitative analysis to design and build appropriate data analyses and visualizations that can provide insights and answers to complex business questions
Responsibilities
- Use internal and external data sources to derive meaningful and actionable business insights, recommendations, and forecasts using a variety of tools and techniques, from statistics to Machine Learning to data querying to visualization. Closely cooperate with client service teams
- Define, compute, monitor, and predict KPIs for important business processes
- Perform data exploration to gain and to provide to clients in-depth understanding of data that impact their critical business processes/decisions
- Present & communicate your findings in the most efficient way for business users
The ideal candidate will have
- At least 5 years of experience in a business intelligence role or similar
- Very good knowledge of analytical & visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlikview, Cognos
- Very good or excellent knowledge of SQL
- Strong academic record in Computer Science, Economics, Mathematics or relevant. Postgraduate degree is a plus
- Excellent analytical skills with a creative approach to solving problems and presenting solutions
- Experience working across multiple levels and functions. Ability to clearly communicate complex information with a confident and positive attitude
- High energy, enthusiasm and strong interest in a continuous improvement role
- Fluent English speaker. German language will be greatly appreciated
- Good knowledge and experience with one or more of R, Python, Java is a big plus
- Experience in developing statistical or Machine Learning models is a big plus
- Consulting or BI experience in telecoms, marketing/sales analytics, computational marketing/computational advertising or call center analytics is a big plus
